raise 是及物動詞,意思很多.有撫養、舉起等意思.它在表示舉起時,是舉起另一個東西,因為它及物,所以我們這樣用：he raises it up.他把它舉起來了.雖然也是主語發出的動作但作用對象是其他.

這兩個詞作為動詞最根本的區別是,rise是不及物動詞,而arise是及物動詞.也就是說,使用的時候,rise后面不用跟賓語,而arise后面一定要有賓語.例如：
